On 2nd December 2009, bespoke was notified by SAFE Contractor that we have been successful in our application for SAFE Contractor Accreditation following an exhaustive Health & Safety submission.  Coming just after bespoke’s certification to OHAS 18001:2007,  this Accreditation allows bespoke to show our on-going commitment to Health and Safety throughout our business.

On 8th October, bespoke was assessed by CIS Ltd and awarded 18001:2007 for our Health and Safety systems and procedures.  No extra procedures were required for us to meet this standard.

bespoke’s Director with special responsibility for Health and Safety,  Jackie Woodall,  is thrilled by the result but not surprised -

bespoke is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the cleaning services contract at Filton College for the 4th year running. In addition, bespoke was awarded the Main Campus contract at Filton for the first time, which will be overseen by our Regional Manager, Carole Spicer and her Area Manager, Birdget Attwood.

bespoke has also been awarded the contract at Queen Elizabeth Humanities College in Herefordshire. A specialist Humanities School requiring a daily cleaning service in addition to specialist Summer Cleaning, the College will also fall under the auspices of Carole Spicer’s management team.

bespoke has just been installed as a Corporate Member of the British Institute of Cleaning Science, with Director Jackie Woodall a Practitioner member adding to bespoke’s impressive array of quality assurance certification and documentation.

bespoke Cleaning Services is delighted to have been awarded a range of exciting and prestigious new Contracts this month. Regional Manager, Carole Spicer will be overseeing the TUPE transfer of new staff at 7 sites across the UK for Bosch Thermotechnology, including locations in Essex, Bradford and Worcestershire. Other new contracts include further Higher and Further Education clients – City of Wolverhampton College and Coventry University Enterprises Ltd – and two premium blue chip contracts in the Bristol area which will fall within the remit of Regional Manager, Jackie Janisch.

bespoke Cleaning Services Director of Finance, Matthew Wilkins, wanted and original way to raise lots of hard earned cash for hist favourite charities.  Being wary of the response to a shaven cranium in the heady atmosphere of contract cleaning,  Matthew has decided to go one better and will be the proud possessor of a head of bright pink hair from 7th March 2009!  The charities benefitting from Matthew’s trichological endeavours are:

bespoke Cleaning Services has today announced its exciting new plans for continuing improvements in 2009.  Projects this year will concentrate on further leaps forward in Health and Safety excellence, and in extending Employee Training and Development into new areas:

• A new programme of BICSc training to complement existing NVQ Level 2 achievements for staff
• Working towards OHSAS 18001
• Adding CHAS accreditation to our current Compliant status
• Investors in People accreditation

bespoke Cleaning Services is delighted to announce that it’s continued Health and Safety compliance and its pursuit of excellence in this area will now be supported by Ellis Whittam Corporate Support Ltd.  All new recruits will now be issued with copies of the new Employee Handbook and Employee Health and Safety Manual, and further initiatives will be put in place throughout the coming year to ensure that good Health and Safety practice maintains its place at the heart of our business.

Caran Garside has joined bespoke Cleaning Services as Regional Manager for the Northern area.  Caran brings to bespoke her wealth of industry and management experience; having been in the business for the past 20 years, she has overseen contracts ranging from Warehouse and Factory environments, through clean rooms and classrooms to every kind of office settings.  She is an accredited BICSc Trainer and Assessor and will be involved not only in the overall management of key bespoke contracts in the Midlands and North, but also in a broad ranging new programme of training and development for staff.
